Using a basic flavor profile on components of a meal guarantees that the flavors compliment each other. SEASONING:

HERTALIANA was made for FORCACCIA and PIZZA and is an excellent seasoning for RISOTTO. 

TOMATO (SPAGHETTI) SAUCE:


Add to canned tomatoes, puree or bought pasta sauce to give it your own true Italian flare.

GRILLING:

Sprinkle a little before or after GRILLING TOMATOES, EGGPLANT, SQUASH, ONIONS, GARLIC, MUSHROOMS OR VEGIE BURGERS.

Add HERTALIANA to any FISH or MEAT that you grill, especially SHRIMP. Add fresh lemon slices.

MARINADE

Add HERTALIANA to oil and red or white wine vinegar or citrus juice for a marinade. If marinating for more than 1 hour do not add vinegar or citrus juice until 30 minutes before cooking.

Shish-ka-bob cut LAMB or CHICKEN into 2 inch pieces, store in a plastic bag for at least 3o minutes, this will work well for chicken pieces.

Add flavor to skin-less, bone-less breasts, thighs and legs, you can add raw garlic cloves or other chopped herbs to marinade.

For a change of pace oil and citrus in place of vinegar will create a pleasant change in the flavor. If you always use lemon juice try orange, lime or pink grapefruit or any cider, balsamic, Champaign, rice wine vinegar.

SALAD DRESSING:

HERTALIANA was made for olive oil and balsamic vinegar, both red and white.

HERTALIANA is also great used with flavor infused vinegar or olive oil, I infuse olive oil with lemon, garlic, blood  orange.

Sprinkle HERTALIANA on SLICED RAW VEGETABLES, drizzle with a little olive oil and fresh lemon juice.

ROAST:

Sprinkle HERTALIANA on meat before or after you grill them, rub PORK CHOPS OR STEAK. Sprinkle over WHOLE CHICKEN, TURKEY or DUCK before you put them into a 350-degree oven the oven.

ROASTED VEGETABLES are amazing with a generous sprinkle of HERTALIANA, toss large chunks of ZUCCHINI, CAULIFLOWER, BUTTERNUT SQUASH, ONION, SWEET POTATO, WHITE POTATO, FENNEL TOMATOES, SPAGHETTI SQUASH, EGGPLANT etc. with olive oil put in a sheet pan in a 400 degree oven for 20-40 minutes, Turn over every 15 minutes, the pan is what will turn them brown, the results are sweet and tender and irresistible, even for fussy eaters.

BATTER FOR FRYING POULTRY, VEGETABLES OR FRUIT: 

Add HERTALIANA to FLOUR for a dredge before and after an egg dip, or to a batter with egg, flour, liquid (non-dairy milk, gluten free beer, etc.). Sprinkle more on right after it's cooked, while it’s still hot.

HERTALIANA Dip for Vegetables:

HERTALIANA makes a great dip added to extra virgin olive oil and balsamic vinegar or to mayonnaise or non-dairy soured cream that has been thinned with a little lemon juice.

Optional add in: Non-dairy Parmesan cheese, Worcestershire sauce.
